Senem-Sevinc-224x300I work for Vizyon Office Furniture Company as a young interior architect. I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Mathematics Department in 2004 and worked for math courses as a teacher.  Over years, I noticed that the only thing I could change at work were the numbers. All the things, structures of the problems, the order of the subjects etc. which I had to learn were same… I couldn’t be satisfied with work from the viewpoint of creativity, improvement or evolution. Honestly, I can say that to have been enrolled to Interior Architecture & Environmental Design Department is an important milestone in my life. From the beginning, enjoying of Basic Design course was priceless. Colours, lines, form and then perception of space, intending well-defined functionality, concerning about aesthetics were incredible. Arrangement of all these were like doing puzzle without looking at a real Picture or scene. I also would like to take this occasion to thank all academicians in the department for their supports, sharing academic and personal backgrounds. They organized professional introduction seminars, workshops, movie screening, meeting with the companies from sector. Additionally, last year at university, I applied Erasmus Program and went to Portugal. It was again big fortune for me to analyze how the approach to interior design and all related processes such as planning, application, production, and marketing.  I found an opportunity to produce furniture using joiner’s tools and machines. On the other hand, I do believe that living in a foreign country for a while is a benefit for your accumulation. Now, I’ m trying to turn it to good account in professional field. Finally, considering all these years, it is clear that it was hard, really hard. But, I can guarantee that you will revel right from you started sketching. At the end, your design is standing in front of you.  It was your image now which is real. Wish you to make your dreams real.
